Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited (SCBPL) partnered with the British Deputy High Commission (BDHC) in Karachi to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event brought together clients, partners, and employees to discuss the role of technology and innovation in promoting gender equality. The panel discussion, led by Khadija Hashimi, Ziana Sakhia, Sarah Khurram, and Azima Dhanjee, focused on how technology can provide creative solutions that meet women’s needs and promote gender equality.
Rehan Shaikh, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, highlighted the importance of digital knowledge in empowering women and promoting financial inclusion. He also applauded the State Bank for adopting a gender-responsive approach to financial inclusion and technology. Martin Dawson, Deputy Head of Mission at BDHC, emphasized the importance of unleashing the full potential of girls and women to achieve development.
