Jazz Game Now and FreeFire award RZX x Legacy PKR 1 Million for qualifying for the FFSI

Jazz Game Now, in collaboration with FreeFire, has awarded PKR 1 million to RZX x Legacy, the winning team from Pakistan that qualified for the FreeFire SEA Invitational (FFSI) 2023. The team won the month-long qualification rounds in Pakistan from among 1,152 local teams and will be one of the 18 teams competing globally in the FFSI. The tournament will take place in Thailand from May 12 to May 28, and the team will leave for Thailand later this week.

At the event, Kazim Mujtaba, Chief Commercial Officer at Jazz, expressed the company’s commitment to creating and bolstering avenues of digital growth in Pakistan. He noted that the revenue in the online gaming market in Pakistan is estimated to reach over $46 million in 2023 alone and nearly $73 million by 2027, indicating lucrative global opportunities for Pakistani youth and a tremendous potential for economic uplift.

Falak Gondal, Partnerships Manager at FreeFire, also expressed support for the local gaming ecosystem in Pakistan, saying that the global online gaming industry is expected to reach a value of over $32.5 billion by 2027. She highlighted the partnership between FreeFire and Jazz Game Now as a token of support for fostering a thriving gaming culture where local talent is showcased on the world stage.

Syed Arsalan Qamar, Stream Head Gaming and eSports at Jazz, also highlighted the immense potential of the digital gaming segment in Pakistan. He noted that the popularity of eSports in Pakistan calls for rapid development in the sector and expressed excitement for Jazz to play a trailblazing role in unlocking this digital achievement.

Jazz Game Now has been instrumental in supporting online gamers in Pakistan to compete globally, delivering on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Overall, the collaboration between Jazz Game Now and FreeFire serves as a celebration of Pakistani gaming talent and an effort to pave the way for future gamers in the country.
