Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim receives Excellence Award from President Alvi at BIZNET2023

Recently held at the President House, the second edition of BIZNET Diversity and Inclusion Recognition Awards ceremony recognized individuals and organizations that have made significant strides towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society. Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim received the Excellence Award for the company’s various diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, particularly its initiatives to empower women through digital platforms.

In his speech at the ceremony, President Dr Arif Alvi emphasized the urgent need for financial inclusion of women in the country to turn 50 percent of its population into a productive workforce. He praised Jazz’s efforts to promote women’s business startups through information technology as the fastest way to empower them.

This year’s BIZNET2023 awards had the theme of ‘Supporting Diversity, Inclusion and Pakistan Startups’, bringing together representatives from all sectors. Transforming Hub and Women Business Network organized the awards in association with various other business organizations and industry leaders across the country.

President Alvi commended the organizers for developing an ambitious plan to advance the women workforce in the country and appreciated the efforts of organizations in taking necessary steps to bring about positive change.

BIZNET is an annual event that aims to promote startups and encourage entrepreneurship among young and aspiring business minds in Pakistan. It supports the culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship in the country, which is a critical component of its economic growth and development. The event recognizes successful startups in Pakistan in various categories, including social impact, innovation, and growth potential.
