KARACHI-On Monday, an Indian flight had to make an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport because a passenger had passed away during the flight. The flight, which was traveling from New Delhi to Doha, had a passenger whose health suddenly deteriorated mid-flight. As a result, the Air Traffic Controller at Karachi airport granted permission for an emergency landing due to the medical emergency.
Unfortunately, the passenger, a 60-year-old Nigerian man named Abdullah, passed away before the flight could land. The doctors from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) issued a death certificate for him.
In a separate incident, an air ambulance had to make a technical landing at Islamabad International Airport. The ambulance had taken off from Kolkata and was on its way to Azerbaijan when it had to make an unscheduled stop in Islamabad.
