A delegation from the 36th Mid-Career Management Course organized by National Institute of Management (NIM) Peshawar visited Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Headquarters in Islamabad. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Member Finance PTA, Mr. Muhammad Naveed, and other senior officers of the Authority.
During their visit, the delegation was given a comprehensive presentation on PTA’s role and functioning, with a particular focus on cyber security initiatives for the telecom sector and measures to resolve consumer issues.

The presentation also highlighted the Device Identification Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS), an initiative undertaken by PTA to ensure that no counterfeit, fake, or illegal device operates on Pakistani telecom networks. The delegation was introduced to this initiative, and its importance in maintaining a secure and reliable telecom network was emphasized.
Overall, the visit was informative and provided the delegation with an opportunity to learn about PTA’s efforts to enhance cyber security and improve consumer experiences.
