Cambridge International Holds Principals Forums in Pakistan for the First Time Since the Pandemic

Cambridge International recently held its Principals Forums in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad for educators in Pakistan. This marks the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic that the event was held in-person. Over 500 leaders and educators from 411 Cambridge schools attended the forums to discuss the theme ‘Ready for the World.’

Keynote Session on Positive Learning Environment by Professor of Education at University of Cambridge

Dr. Mark Winterbottom, Professor of Education at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, delivered the keynote session on “Positive classrooms, positive students: creating a positive learning environment.” Participants discussed the importance of creating student and teaching autonomy, developing world-ready skills, and fostering a positive learning environment in classrooms.

Informative Panel Discussion on Developing World-Ready Skills

The forums included an informative panel discussion titled “Building Better Futures: developing world-ready skills in students.” Education thought leaders, industry experts, and students from top universities shared their perspectives on the skills students need to develop to navigate future challenges, and how education can help develop these skills.

Cambridge Launches Early Years Curriculum

Cambridge made an exciting announcement during the Principals Forum by launching an Early Years curriculum specifically designed for children aged 3 to 6. Developed by experts and based on cutting-edge research, this internationally benchmarked curriculum will give young learners a solid foundation to build on as they progress through their education journey.

 

Cambridge Philosophy and Holistic Learning Environment

Cambridge is committed to setting the bar high for education and emphasises the importance of developing skills that serve students for a lifetime. The Principals Forum also included a panel discussion with leaders from universities and other industries who supported the Cambridge philosophy and agreed that a holistic learning environment fosters growth, creativity, and innovation.

The Cambridge Principals Forums are annual events that allow school leaders to interact with the Cambridge International team, exchange best practices, and learn more about Cambridge’s work for schools in Pakistan. As part of this year’s events, the British Council also updated schools on their work to deliver examinations to students in Pakistan.
