Lahore Board Delays Two Intermediate Papers Due to By-Elections

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced the postponement of two intermediate exams due to the upcoming by-elections. This decision affects the chemistry paper, originally scheduled for April 20, and the English paper, slated for April 22.

Reason for Postponement

The board postpones the exams as a precautionary measure to avoid scheduling conflicts with the upcoming by-elections on April 21. This decision aims to prevent any disruptions that could disadvantage students due to the electoral process.

Assurance of New Dates

BISE Lahore officials assure that they will promptly communicate new dates for the postponed exams. Students and stakeholders should monitor board announcements for updates on rescheduled papers.

Impact on Students

The postponement may affect students’ study schedules and preparation timelines for these exams. However, the board aims to minimize any inconvenience by promptly announcing the new exam dates, allowing students ample time to adjust their preparations accordingly.

Upcoming By-Elections

The by-elections are crucial for filling vacant seats in various legislative bodies, including the National Assembly and provincial assemblies. The by-elections on six National Assembly and 17 provincial assemblies’ seats are set for April 21. This includes elections for six National Assembly seats, two KP and Balochistan assembly seats each, and 12 vacant Punjab Assembly seats.
