Tetra Pak Pakistan, a leading provider of sustainable food processing and packaging solutions, has once again joined forces with WWF Pakistan for the sixth consecutive year. The focus of this enduring partnership is a nationwide awareness program designed to educate young Pakistani students on the significance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. The program will extend its reach to 50 schools in major cities including Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad.

Engaging 10,000 Students

This year’s initiative targets over 10,000 Pakistani students aged 5 to 13, enrolled in grades 1 to 7. Employing a modern teaching approach centered on experience-based learning, the program kicked off with Volkan Aydeniz, Tetra Pak’s Sustainability Director, launching the engagement alongside WWF training executives. The team has already conducted 18 recycling awareness sessions involving more than 1700 students in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Comprehensive Educational Sessions

The campaign encompasses both private and government schools, with a total of 120 sessions planned. Utilizing visual aids such as educational animations, storytelling sessions, and interactive activities like arts and crafts, the program aims to instill in students the importance of addressing real-world challenges like environmental conservation, waste reduction, material reuse, and recycling.

Promoting Sustainability through Action

Students get activity books and join a carton collection competition, actively collecting UBC waste. This fosters a sense of responsibility. Collected cartons are donated for sustainable processing, promoting circular packaging. Engaging students in recycling initiatives contributes to a more environmentally conscious generation. This hands-on experience empowers students to actively promote a greener and more sustainable future.
