Emirates Boosts Flight Operations in Anticipation of Hajj and Eid Al Adha Rush

With the commencement of the Hajj season and upcoming Eid Al Adha celebrations, Emirates is layering on additional flights to key regional destinations to meet significant travel demand during this special period.

Additional Flights for Hajj

As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lifts all Hajj travel restrictions for the first time in three years, Emirates has deployed additional flights for pilgrims to embark on their journey to and from the Holy City of Makkah. Ten flights have added to and from Jeddah, operated on Boeing 777 aircraft dedicated for Hajj pilgrims until 7 July.

Increased Flights for Eid Al Adha

Gearing up for a busy travel period for Eid Al Adha, Emirates has deployed an additional 34 flights to popular destinations across the region. These flights aim to facilitate passengers traveling home to celebrate with their family and friends. Flights have added to Amman and Beirut for passengers traveling to the Levant, and to Dammam and Kuwait within the GCC.

Offering a Pilgrim-Centric Experience

To help create a smooth and peaceful travel experience, Emirates has established a dedicated team to support pilgrims on their once-in-a-lifetime Hajj experience. On the ground in Dubai, an airport team will manage check-in, and Hajj passengers transiting through Dubai will escorted from their arrival gate to departure gate. Onboard, Emirates provides a pilgrim-centric experience with extra provisions made for ablutions and cleansing rituals. Special announcements and videos will guide passengers through the Hajj journey, and passengers can check-in up to 5 liters of holy water (Zamzam).

Celebrating the spirit of Eid Al Adha

Emirates celebrates multicultural occasions onboard, and for Eid Al Adha, traditional treats will served on select flights. Passengers will enjoy classic Eid dishes across different cabin classes, including regional favorites such as chicken moughalghal, beef sajiyeh, and lamb madfoon. Desserts will feature a tempting selection of Eid favorites, and all passengers will receive a bespoke gift box Eid treat from Emirates. Emirati pastries and Arabic coffee will also served in the signature A380 Onboard Lounge.

With these additional flights and special offerings, Emirates aims to meet the travel demands of pilgrims during the Hajj season and provide a joyous experience for passengers celebrating Eid Al Adha.
