Parliament House and Pemra Welcomes PU Students for an Educational Visit

A delegation of students from the Institute of Administrative Sciences of Punjab University visited the Parliament House and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) Headquarters on Tuesday. Prof Dr Amir Saeed led the students to the visits of the Senate, National Assembly, and Pemra. The students briefed on the functioning of the lower and upper houses of the parliament and the role of these institutions in running state affairs. The visitors took rounds of various sections of the Parliament House, and the staff concerned answered their questions.

During their visit to Pemra, the students briefed about the role and working methods of the media regulatory authority. They learned about the modern system of media monitoring and the importance of regulation laws. The students also had the opportunity to visit the monitoring cell, gaining insights into the practical aspects of media regulation.

At the end of the visit, Prof Dr Amir expressed his gratitude to the Pemra chairman and authorities concerned for their cooperation and support throughout the visit. The students left the Parliament House and Pemra Headquarters with a deeper understanding of the functioning of these important institutions and their roles in shaping the country’s governance and media landscape.
