Pakistan’s leading digital payments platform, easypaisa, marked International Women’s Day by renewing its pledge to empower women financially. Mudassar Aqil, emphasized the organization’s commitment to promoting women’s leadership roles and creating a more inclusive Pakistan. He acknowledged that financial inclusion and women empowerment are moral imperatives, and it’s their utmost responsibility to equip women with the necessary tools, resources, and support to take control of their destinies and realize their ambitions.
Similarly, Pouruchisty Sidhwa, the CHRO of easypaisa and Telenor Microfinance Bank, highlighted the need to open new opportunities for women to break the glass ceiling and make a mark in Pakistan, where less than 12% of women are in leadership positions, one of the lowest in the region. She reiterated easypaisa’s commitment to championing this cause and ensuring equity for women at all levels.
